Green Advantage Certification Training

Overview

In this two-day course master trainer David Johnston teaches participants how to approach construction, design and development from a green building mindset and prepares residential building professionals to take the Green Advantage Certification exam.

Green Advantage® is an environmental certification for building-related practitioners - primarily contractors, subcontractors and trades people and it is the only nationally-recognized, third party, non-profit entity offering green building certification. Certified individuals have successfully passed the Green Advantage® Certification Exam demonstrating knowledge of current green building principles, materials, and techniques. In order to become certified, builders and other industry professionals attend an authorized Green Advantage training, such as this one, and then pass the a monitored examination.

Green Advantage® Certification requires that you demonstrate a basic knowledge of green construction concepts, materials, and practices by passing the Green Advantage® Exam with a score of 75% or higher.

The Certification Exam Fee of $125 is included in the cost of this course if you are taking the Exam at a session scheduled as a part of an authorized Green Advantage® training. The exam will be held July 7, from 1:30-4pm.

In the event that you are unable to attend the scheduled testing session following your authorized training, arrangements can be made for you to take the Exam at a testing site. There is an additional fee of approximately $25 for these services. Exams must be taken within 90 days of completing authorized training.

The Green Advantage® Certification Exam covers:
